April 11, 2021
Scenic Rim Trail Running Series – Kooralbyn Valley MTB Park – Round 1
Queensland’s Scenic Rim has been the trail running world’s best-kept secret – until now.
The Running Series is the first of its kind in the area. There are four events within the series, with distances ranging from, Long, Short, and intro distances. Spectacular and rugged, the Scenic Rim is just an hour’s drive south of Brisbane and 40 minutes from the Gold Coast. Mountains, forests, lakes, single track, dirt, expansive views, wildlife. The Scenic Rim Trail Running Series will take you through it all in five challenging and highly rewarding events.
You don’t need to be an elite to enter the Running Series – the long and short-distance events are open to seasoned runners and first timers alike. We will also be running 5km introductory distances for those who are new to the sport. No matter which distance you choose, our welcoming and family-oriented atmosphere will ensure you make it to the finish line wanting more!
Over different locations, you’ll get to explore some of the toughest and most magnificent trail running terrain in Australia. Forget the latest gear – all you need is a come-and-try attitude, a sense of humour and bit of fitness to get around the course.
Kids are catered for, too, with a 2km kid’s fun run at each event.
The series includes:
Two course options (short and long) that are fully marked and marshalled
On-course medical support
Professional electronic timing and results
Photographer along the course to capture your finest moments
Random prize draws at the race presentations
Magnificent natural landscapes
Friendly, social atmosphere
